Cusco Canine Rescue is currently in the fundraising stage of building our sanctuary in Cusco, Peru. While we cannot yet take in dogs directly, we can connect you with trusted local veterinarians and rescue partners who may be able to help.

Before You Contact Us — Please Read

Cusco Canine Rescue does not yet have a physical sanctuary. We are still raising funds to build one.

We are not an emergency service. In urgent cases (dog attacks, cruelty, etc.), please contact local police or veterinarians directly.

We do not currently offer adoptions, but we can connect you with local rescues who do.

Local community involvement is essential. Often, neighbors or volunteers are the first line of help for street dogs.

While we love receiving photos and stories, we cannot respond to every single case.

Donations and fundraising support are what make future rescues possible — every contribution goes toward the sanctuary project.

Stray dogs in Cusco face extreme challenges (malnutrition, poisoning, abuse), and change will take time — but together, we can make it happen.

Cusco has an estimated 200,000+ stray dogs in the region (thousands in the city itself). Unfortunately, it’s not possible to rescue every dog we see.

Our mission is focused on long-term solutions — building a sanctuary, offering medical care, and creating community education.
